TZOppa said the information may have reached Simba Queens’ leadership but she does not have such information and she has instead planned to help the club overcome Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC of South Africa in the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League last four.
The forward noted before the duel: “I have not heard any information about attracting the interest of clubs in Europe, my outfit’s management may have more information, but at the moment I am focused on helping my team in the semi-final game that we will play later today (Wednesday) against Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.”
“If it happens and it is confirmed, I believe the management of Simba SC will allow me to leave because they do not have the habit of frustrating their players when there is an opportunity for them to play football abroad,” Oppa stated.
Oppa went to seek greener pastures in Turkey earlier this year but she was not successful in landing a contract with any of the outfits there instead she returned to Simba Queens and helped the squad win the Mainland Tanzania Women’s Premier League silverware and CAF Women’s Champions League’s CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers.
The attacker’s other notable achievement is her presence in the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League’s best side on the group stage.
The list of 11 players was announced on the social media networks of the Confederation of African Football, with Oppa being listed as one of the players making the squad’s striking force.
The list was unveiled after a detailed and technical evaluation of the group stage games that came to an end at the end of last week.
Oppa has shown great potential in the women’s continental showpiece, helping Simba Queens reach the semi-final stage while scoring two goals in three ties.
