Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal has called upon the surprise recruits of Vincent Janssen and Noa Lang in his squad for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. There was, however, no room for Bundesliga duo Ryan Gravenberch and Donyell Malen, nor Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma while vice-captain Georginio Wijnaldum misses out through injury.
Premier League trio Virgil van Dijk, Nathan Ake, and Tyrell Malacia join PSV Eindhoven’s Luuk de Jong, Cody Gakpo and Xavi Simons in the squad, as well as Atalanta pair Martin de Roon and Teun Koopmeiners.
Van Gaal, who took Le Oranje to the semi-finals in 2014, can once again call upon the experience of Daley Blind, Memphis Depay and Stefan de Vrij for this year’s tournament.

This will be the Nation’s eleventh World Cup and first since Brazil ’14, with their best showing being runners-up in 1974, 1978 and 2010.
